JASON INTRODUCED OUR SPEAKERS:
Councilwoman KIRSTIN BUCCI and
Councilman RICHARD MECCA.

Kirstin spoke of Rye Public Safety Program issues and proposals. Striving for better structure and functioning, efforts to coordinate 3 factions; Police Department, Fire Department and EMS are being made.  She turned over to Richard who went on to explain that, with storms, there is the dangerous rising of water levels.  These are big causes for emergency services. He went on to explain that volunteerism is not as it was with changing times and demands.  This creates the need for career staffing with people who have professional training and experience to insure optimum safety for our residents.  The hope is to restructure things and have a board of directors to insure more efficiency and quicker response time.

He spoke of the need to VOTE YES on November 8 in order to have this concept put into place.

However you feel, please make the effort to: VOTE  ON NOVEMBER 8 !!

ENDING THE MEETING, RAFFLE WAS DRAWN:
LUCKY BOB PRAID PULLED THE ACE AND WON A WHOPPING $10.

Respectfully submitted,
Melanie R. Ciraco
