- There was approximately $6000 raised at our Crazy Legs Event and this will go to needs based scholarships at Rye High School. Five scholarships at $3000 each totally $15,000 will be presented at the June 9 awards ceremony at the school.
- 2017 PIE/COOKIE FUNDRAISER IS IN THE WORKS ! Thank you Jane Fox for again heading this up.
- Thank you Rita TIno for heading up the 2017 Student Service Award Committee to present at the Elementary Schools in June.
- Thank you Kathy Carly-Spanier for heading up the Community Service Award Applications.
- New member orientation for Joel Salomon and Jon Gluck will be held at DG Lora Hugelmeyer’ s home at 330 Park Avenue, Rye on May 18 6-7PM

- There was a Board Meeting at PE Bob Manheimer’s home on May 10 to discuss the future of Rye Rotary with positive and productive planning. Present were: Jason M., Bob M., Angela S., Richard M., Louise B. Bob P., and Melanie C. Thank you for hosting Bob!
Our guest speaker was introduced Candy Abdoo, RN from Calvary Hospital. She spoke about the services provided by Calvary Hospital and explained how Calvary provides Palliative care focused on providing relief from the symptoms and stress of a serious illness. Their goal is to improve quality of life for both the patient and the family.
