Rye Rotary Board Meeting
November 28th at (4:30 - 6:45pm) at Webster Bank (Pam's office) on Purchase St in Rye.
Attendance: President Jason L. Mehler, President Elect Bob Manheimer, VP Angela Sculti, Immediate Past President Pam Dwyer, District Governor Lora Hugelmeyer, Raul Bello, Kathy Carley Spanier, Julie Kattan
- We had enough board members for a quorum. This was our third board meeting this term.
- A nominating committee was proposed and approved by the board. The nominating committee consists of President Jason L. Mehler, District Governor Lora Hugelmeyer, Julie Kattan and Immediate Past President Pam Dwyer.
A proposed slate of board members, officers and directors were discussed for the 2017/18 year. President Elect Bob Manheimer will submit the approved slate of Officers, Directors and Trustees to the club members for approval in December.
- Bob Manheimer discussed consolidating director positions and responsibilities for next term.
- A process for proposing and approving grants was discussed.
- Recruiting new member and engaging existing members was discussed.
- Julie Kattan discussed updating the current club's By Laws. Thank you Julie!
Thanks to Jane Fox and Rita Tino for co-chairing the Pie and Cooking Fundraiser. Thanks to everyone that purchased pies and participated in the successful fundraiser.
Rotary cocktail hour/social - Wednesday, December 14th (6:00 - 7:30pm) at the Whitby Castle in Rye $25 per person. Guests and spouses are welcomed. Thanks to VP Angela Sculti for coordinating the event.
We will be scheduling monthly board meetings. All members are welcome to attend.
Next meeting is scheduled for Friday, December 2nd (12:00 Noon) at the Whitby Castle. The guest speaker will be David Schribman. Please register online if you will be coming to the luncheon meeting.
